The missing filter

  • The task was to find recently imported cars, including vehicles on red transit or foreign plates. Those clues may be visible in a photo or buried in a seller’s description rather than available as a search filter. Checking one marketplace at a time leaves you comparing fragments.
  • The actual build began on 31 August 2026: the creator supplied a long automotive research brief and system prompt, asked for an Agent named Autobot to help buy and sell cars, and explicitly started with a draft. The red-plate search later became a concrete example of its use.

Build, try, correct

  • The next requests shaped the Agent: check copied ads and advance-payment traps; turn the functions in the instructions into callable tools; add knowledge graphs with meaningful relationships; and remember preferences only with the user’s consent. Knowledge and its queries would use English, while live car searches would use the user’s language and location.
  • Then came garage dimensions, ground clearance, charging, maintenance, nearby workshops, warranties and country-specific rules. The creator asked for another review, corrected the logo and passport, expanded international coverage, and insisted that the main button explain how to connect rather than open a technical address. The work was a series of concrete requests, trials and blunt corrections.

More than a prompt

  • Autobot brings together five knowledge graphs about vehicle checks, country authorities, listing fraud, market sources, and finance. Its tools help compare duplicate listings, check a mileage timeline, estimate ownership costs, assess charging needs, and compare payment options.
  • The published passport describes a sequence: establish the country, identify the vehicle and seller, collect evidence, compare the economics, and prepare the transfer. Search results and asking prices are leads; they do not establish ownership or a safe deal.

The red-plate search

  • The experience already shared in our catalog describes a search for red transit and foreign plates in one city. The user reported receiving a list drawn from several sites, including a locally registered car whose seller said it had recently been imported.
  • That is the useful change: ask for the situation you care about, then inspect candidates and their sources together. Plate colour is a clue to investigate, not proof of import date, registration status, or seller honesty. This account is paraphrased from the published feedback.

Requests the instructions cover

  • These are example requests and expected deliverables derived from Autobot’s current system instructions, not additional completed customer cases.
  • “Check this 2019 Octavia 1.5 TSI with DSG.” Resolve the exact engine and gearbox, separate model weaknesses from this car’s history, and list evidence still needed before a verdict.
  • “Is this imported car hiding an auction accident?” Trace VIN records and pre-repair photos where available, compare the damage with the current repair, and prepare an independent inspection checklist.
  • “The mileage is lower in a newer advert.” Put dated mileage records in order, flag contradictions, and distinguish missing evidence from a demonstrated rollback.
  • “The seller wants a deposit to remove the advert.” Check duplicate listings, identity, authority to sell and possession. Missing basic verification must not become a recommendation to pay.
  • “Will it fit my garage?” Compare exact body and mirror widths, door space, gate, height, ramp and clearance with measurements. Tight geometry needs a physical trial.
  • “Can I run an EV without home charging?” Compare daily distance, charging window, actual power, connector and backup options; identify an energy shortfall or missing site check.
  • “Why does a $31,000 Kia become about $54,000 over 84 months?” Request the written offer, reconcile financed fees and add-ons, and show total cost and any final payment. A numerical illustration is not the user’s actual contract.
  • “Compare cash, a loan and a lease.” Use the same vehicle, period, mileage and final ownership position; show early-exit risk and remaining cash without assuming investment returns.
  • “Write only the message to the seller.” Return a short ready-to-send message about unresolved facts first, without burying it under a full report.
  • “Help me sell, then plan maintenance for my next car.” Prepare an honest listing and disclosure dossier; separately build a service calendar, compare researched workshops and estimate first-year costs.

What this proves

  • We checked the live passport, public catalog entry, and Agent metadata on 4 September 2026. The Agent was created on 31 August and was published as v0.14. This confirms a published product; the search outcome above remains a user report.
  • We have not measured time saved, search completeness, or plate-recognition accuracy. Autobot must show inaccessible or missing evidence as unverified. Physical inspection, current official records, written finance terms, and the final purchase decision remain with people.
